Steam Turbines
The PRANA prognostic system identifies the following types of defect and deviation of power generating steam turbines well in advance:
- blading damage except for already existing defects in material structure or structural defects or damage caused by acts/omissions of operating personnel or Service Organizations;
- disturbance of sealing;
- governor faults;
- change in condenser condition;
- change in district heater condition;
- turbine unit vibration monitoring;
- turbine thermal expansion system, rotor distortion;
- temperature of support bearings and thrust bearing.
