The PRANA system analyses the condition of generators functioning in CCPP and steam turbine-based power units, gas piston machines and other power generation sets. The most common types of defect identified by the system:

  • rotor and stator winding damage;
  • rotor eccentricity, imbalance, misalignment;
  • damage to brushes;
  • insulation ageing;
  • loss or reduction of excitation system efficiency;
  • damage to gas turbine startup frequency converter;
  • cooling system;
  • turbine unit vibration monitoring;
  • oil cooling circuits, generator air: efficiency of heat exchangers, seals, leaks.
