PRANA Forecasting System is registered in the National Software Register

The PRANA Equipment Condition Forecasting System is registered in the unified National Software Register — the corresponding decree was signed by Nikolay Nikiforov, Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. The National Software Register was established to support Russian software developers — the software registered in it is allowed to participate state procurement tenders, unlike its foreign analogues.

"As of today, PRANA has analyzed more than 1 million operating hours of power generating equipment. Originally we used this system for analysis of the most complex unit — the gas turbine. However, experience has shown that PRANA is able to work at almost all industrial facilities — from rolling mill to infrastructure facilities," says Mikhail Lifshitz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ROTEC JSC.

The solution developed for the power generating sector allows connecting all power unit equipment to the system: booster compressors, gas and steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, generators and pumping units. The availability of complete information on the condition of parts of a unit significantly increases the reliability of its operation.

To forecast the condition of equipment, PRANA creates a mathematical model of the object on the basis of reference parameters of properly functioning equipment. The behavior of the facility is further compared to this very model. PRANA detects the development of defects 2-3 months prior to their detection by regular automated control systems. This allows reducing expenses on spare parts procurement by up to 30%, but what is most important — to shift from doing emergency to scheduled repairs.

The PRANA Forecasting System has already been registered as software, and is now being patented in Russia. Patent applications have been submitted in the USA and the European Union.
