The PRANA Predictive Analytics and Remote Monitoring System has received another update of the operating system.

In the framework of the system’s planned development processes, an updated component has been brought into operation – a MVSM core (multivariate vector statistical model). MVSM is a key element of the mathematical tool for analysis of the equipment’s status. It’s required to create and play multidimensional models of the equipment’s condition — i.e., digital images that describe how the equipment operates during the control period and in real time. Model playing based on actual field-performance data provides the possibility of identifying deviating parameters in the work of highly sensitive industrial equipment – even if they don’t influence the status of the unit and, hence, can’t be recorded by conventional control and monitoring systems.

An extensive update of the core has been developed considering the requests from engineers and the operating personnel who work at energy generation and FES facilities with equipment protected by the PRANA System.

The performance of the new module is more than 4 times higher than the previous version, and the stability of the system has been increased significantly. It has been reworked to provide the possibility of linear horizontal scaling for server capacities with application of cutting-edge IT technologies, such as docker\kubernates and kafka streaming services. The new solution will increase the volume of the monitored equipment, improve system availability indicators, reduce the system’s response time to the deviation observed in the running of its equipment.

The new model supports simultaneous running of several options of the equipment model, which allows analyzing certain critical hubs of the device with other models that are more deviation-sensitive.
